Multiple Interfaces
This software is designed to work with:
- ShapeNest profile cutting software works with many different interfaces including CAD and DNC
- Burny,
- Farley,
- NCE,
- Bystronic,
- NUM,
- Messer Griesheim,
- and more –
DNC 5 modes of operation:-
Single> A single COM port on the PC is connected directly to a single machine. The protocol for the machine is automatically detected.
It is possible to have a manual switch on this system that allows multiple machines to download via DNC server. This does not support simultaneous download.
Twin> Two COM ports on the PC are connected directly to two machines. The protocols are fixed.
This is useful on sites that have only 2 machines and would like simultaneous download facility.
- For more cutting machines up to 254 connections :-
Multi> A single COM port on the PC is connected directly to a Multiplexer. The client ports on the multiplexer are then directly connected to each machine. The protocols are fixed. This is useful on sites that have 3 or more machines. The limit to the number of machines is 23 (for a fully equipped 900 series multiplexer). All machines can simultaneously be active, but the overall performance is limited by host port bandwidth.
DualMulti> Two COM ports on the PC are connected directly to a pair of Multiplexers. The client ports on the multiplexers are then directly connected to each machine. The protocols are fixed. This is useful on sites that have a lot of machines. The limit to the number of machines is 46 (for two fully equipped 900 series multiplexers). All machines can simultaneously be active, but the overall performance is limited by host port bandwidth for each multiplexer.
WiFi > Using the e-Net WiFi to RS232 unit, each machine is connected to the DNC Server through a wireless router. The Server supports either Serial or WiFi communication but not both simultaneously but it is possible to run version 3.06 and 3.07 simultaneously to provide a short term change over for commissioning purposes by creating JobQueue32.ini for the WiFi setting while still having jobQueue.ini for the Serial only version. Up to 255 machines can be connected in this way.
